My 3 years of education at Bath Spa School of Art and Design instilled in me a curiosity about what ‘good’ graphic design is or could be, along with a taste for fresh West Country air. I grew increasingly interested in defining good design as something that is useful, honest and playful, allowing these three factors to become prerequisites for the work I do.
Attending various placements after graduating allowed me to explore the kind of innovative design that excites me, one of which was in rural West Wales working for The Do Lectures and Hiut Denim. During these placements I gained great insight into the exciting potential of people, leading to my desire to work with challenging briefs that are answered in thoughtful and beautiful ways.
Alongside being a designer I also love acting and writing poetry. These three loves give me the opportunity to consider the most engaging and playful ways of communicating with people, be it through words, images or gesture. I enjoy a good laugh and am happiest when others are laughing too!
