How do you communicate positively about our depressing environmental situation? Thomas.Matthews founder, Sophie Thomas, is always on a mission to do just that.
In 2014, Sophie travelled to Kamilo Point in Hawaii – also known as ‘Plastic Beach’ – to see first-hand the plastic plight of our oceans. Never Turn your Back on the Ocean is an exhibition inspired by this experience, featuring plastic sourced from Kamilo’s foot deep piles of sea junk.
On the evening of 18 November at Pentagram, Sophie will be giving a talk about her journey to Hawaii and its enduring affect on her work. This is a one evening only exhibition and spaces are very limited. If you would like to join us please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org to save a spot.
Thomas.Matthews would like to thank Pentagram and Do The Green Thing for their collaborative support and we look forward to seeing you there.
