Bombay Sapphire Trip

On the first Friday of October, we went to the Bombay Sapphire distillery at Laverstoke Mill, Whitchurch, with some others from Useful Simple Trust for an ‘engineering/architecture’ based excursion and what a lovely day it was for it. The building’s former life as a paper mill, printing the notes for the Bank of England added a nice surprise piece of history to this already beautiful site.

Heatherwick Studio’s glasshouses were absolutely stunning, although we couldn’t help thinking they can’t have been the most efficient of builds!

Of course, it would have been rude of us not to have a sample or two to finish the day off.
