Since graduating from the London College of Communication and successfully negotiating various design placements I found a home with the Thomas.Matthews team.
Initially, I thought I had been brought in to double the male ratio of the team, but I soon made sure that I became invaluable – seven years later, I’m a senior designer.
Without trying to sound like a big fat cliché – it has been a privilege to work on a wide range of projects since joining TM, ranging from; branding and identity, online and interactive, typefaces and printed matter, three dimensional design for buildings and environments, to wayfinding and signage. The variety of the projects I work on keeps me entertained and more importantly, challenged.
I’m a passionate designer with an eye for detail, typography and image making – never happier than seeing a clever idea come to life using strong conceptual and typographic skills combined with extensive production knowledge to help realise them. For me, design has always been about problem solving and producing an appropriate solution to whatever brief is given to you.
Whether discussing ideas with a client or developing ideas within the team, I am a confident communicator, who is used to running a project from start to finish.
Within the studio I like to keep everyone in check with a healthy sense of sarcasm and cheek, sometimes successfully, sometimes not. I have a love of eclectic music, photography and am never far away from my two wheeled friend(s) – definitely sounding like a cliché now…
Needless to say – I love being a part of the TM family.
